First time we meet with missionary

                                                               First time meet with missionary.

                                                        October, 11, 2013 (08pm-9.30 pm)

            Elder Toney and elder Crum come to Rantau. At the same time we don’t know each other’s. My mom invited me to meet them but I won’t. Augustine, Monica and I won’t meet them but my mom force us to meet with them. We were prepared anything such as meals, orange, and so on. Elder Toney come to my house but he just talked with my dad.

 Elder Toney : ‘I’m sorry brother. We have not enough time to go to your house brother. So how about you go to sister Jenny’s house and invite your son and daughter join us. We can learn some there. Okay? ’.

My dad : ‘Okay. Also can elder.’

My dad forces us to go to sister Jenny’s house. Uhhh! We’re so lazy to get there even that nearby. Finally we got there and we late like 10 minutes after they start. In sister Jenny’s house we learn about restoration and prophet of Joseph Smith. So, we also missed the opening prayer. After we done with our lesson the elders asked did we have any questions. I have thinks about I’m still confused which one the true church. After we finish talked about restoration. I have some questions.

Lawren : I’m sorry. As we know we have so many church such as Roman catholic, Methodists,

Anglican, SIB and so on but which one is true church?

Elder Crum answer my question because we sit very close

Elder Crum : So, I ask you to read about restoration again and try to understand what the

important messages. So just like you say before we have RC, Methodists and so

on

Elder Toney : (Hold and give us The Book Of Mormon one by one). We give you this book.

            This book is another testament of Jesus Christ. I want you read this book and pray

            To Heavenly father is it true or not.

Elder Crum : Yeah. You also can pray tonight about that. Do you know how to pray?

Lawren : Yeah of course. But in RC?

 

Elder Crum : No. It is different. Let me show you all how to pray. Elder Toney you can teach them (My dad and mom). Okay Ramlee, Lawren, Augustine and monica first is Heavely father then ask him this church is true and the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and to close your prayer In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Lawren : Okay. I got it! So I have question why we have another testament of Jesus Christ?

Elder Crum : Actually I want to help to to explain futher but we don’t have enough time now. Oh can I ask your phone number? It’s easy to discuss about that if we are free.

Lawren : okay can.

Elder crum missed call me then I asked his name to save in contact number but he say ‘My name is elder’. Haha ^^.

            After that we close our first lesson with prayer. We had took a picture for the first time we meet.

            We can felt the Holy Spirit. That night we discuss about the Book of Morman. That night I’m pray about another testament of Jesus Christ but God’s doesn’t answer me till I’m almost getting Baptist. That night it was totally different the others night. I’m pray hard and God’s tell me this church is true.

Because I am LDS or a Mormon

            Hello I’m Lawren Empaling Anak Gara, 20 year old, Sibu East Malaysia. Today I want to share about what I will to choose whether College and Missionary work. I would like to choose Missionary work .

I have TEN reasons WHY I choose missionary work regarding PMG and my own opinions. There is why I’m choose missionary work ;  

1. .I can invite others to come unto Christ.

2. I will get blessings from God.

3. I will help them feel the spirit with my testimony. 

4. Help to build up the Church or LDS temple all around the worlds.

5. Help them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ. 

6.  This is once of life time. 

 7. I can share my story with my grandchild.  

8. I can convert so many people.  

9. Tell them about how important they should receive his gospel. 

10.  Make them realize about second coming of Messiah. 

Why I not going to choose to go to college after college offered me? 

1.  I believe it was God’s plan.

2. I believe I’ll receive blessings from God.   

3.I can study in a different college when I finish my missionary service.

MY TESTIMONY 

            When I was confused I fasted for about 2 days. I’m pray hard, fasting and read the scripture a lot. That day was different than the other days. When I was fall in sleep I dreamed that Heavenly Father say I should go to missions then I will study in college after I done with my missionary work. After I woke up, I pray hard and thankful to thee. Finally He showed me the way. I’m sad that I make decision I not going to college for 2 years but what does God told me “I should go to missions.” That is so spiritual. 

            Thank you to my friends who continually supported me in my decisions. Also, I would like to apologize if anyone who took offence towards my actions, but this is something that I have chosen.

Some people tell that I'm stupid. My friends also say I'm idiot because I ignore my college offered but I believe God's has show me where I can start. He help me so much.

I know how many people doesn't supported my decision but I have my family and my missionary friends who was encourage me to think about Missionary work so that I can get blessings from Heavenly Father.

   They will never understand why I choose missionary work because they are too busy with worldly and some of them say they (the missionary) get hypnotize me. They also say I should look forward to my future if I choose college and get better life but I believe I will get blessings from God soon. All was God's plan.
